Day’s EndOxen and sheep were brought back down
Long ago, and bramble gates closed. Over
Mountains and rivers, far from my old garden,
A windswept moon rises into clear night.
Springs trickle down dark cliffs, and autumn
Dew fills ridgeline grasses. My hair seems
Whiter in lamplight. The flame flickers
Good fortune over and over — and for what?

Writing
often it is the only
thing
between you and
impossibility.
no drink,
no woman’s love,
no wealth
can
match it.
The word writing holds many meanings.
Ideas
Belief
hope
thought
imagination
possibility
choices
chance.
Really, the thoughts in your head can keep you in the here and now when everything else wants to pull you down and away.
how do you find out what to write.
you write down the impossibilities,
the drink
